My Job (Android application)

This Privacy Policy explains how the My Job mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. My Job provides information about government and private job vacancies, exam results, call letters, scholarships, admissions and government schemes, primarily for users in Gujarat, India, along with utilities such as a GK quiz and a resume builder.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information You Provide

Resume Builder data. If you use the Resume Builder, you may enter personal details such as your name, mobile number, email address, photo, education, work experience and skills. This information is processed entirely on your device. It is used only to generate your resume PDF locally and is never transmitted to our servers. The generated PDF is saved to your device or shared only when and where you choose to share it.

No account is required. You can browse all job listings and content in the App without creating an account or providing any personal information.

2. Information Collected Automatically

• Push notification token. The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) to send you notifications about new job postings and updates. A device-specific notification token is generated for this purpose.
• Advertising data. The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and basic device information to serve ads, limit ad frequency and prevent fraud. The App is configured to request non-personalized ads.
• Basic technical data. When the App fetches job listings and content from our servers, standard technical information (such as IP address and request logs) may be processed to deliver the service.

3. App Permissions

• Internet — to load job listings, content and advertisements.
• Notifications — to send you job alerts and updates (you can decline or disable this at any time in system settings).
• Camera — only if you choose to take a photo for your resume.
• Photos / media — only if you choose to pick a resume photo from your gallery or save your resume PDF.

Camera and photo access are requested only at the moment you use those features, and photos are used solely inside your resume document on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob (advertising) — Google Privacy Policy and AdMob data usage
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications) — Firebase Privacy and Security

The App also contains links to external websites and apps (such as official job application portals, WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites; please review their policies before providing them any information.

5. How We Use Information

• To display current job vacancies, results and related content;
• To send push notifications you have allowed;
• To display advertisements that support the free App;
• To maintain, secure and improve the App.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your resume data for any purpose other than generating your resume on your device.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Resume information and generated PDFs exist only on your device — deleting them from your device or uninstalling the App removes them. Notification tokens are deleted or invalidated when you uninstall the App. Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own policies.

7. Security

Content is delivered over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. While no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the data handled by the App.

8. Children's Privacy

The App provides employment-related information and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
